Sergio Arzeni
Director - Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs and Local Development at the OECD

Sergio Arzeni is the Director of the OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) and Local Development.

The Centre oversees the work of the Local Economic and Employment Development programme (LEED), the Working Party on SMEs and Entrepreneurship, the Tourism Committee, and the OECD LEED Trento Centre for Local Development (Italy). The LEED Programme focuses on enterprise and job creation, area-based approaches to economic development, innovation and competition, social cohesion, territorial marketing, evaluation and monitoring of public policies at national and sub-national level. He is also the founder and manager of the OECD Forum on Entrepreneurship, Forum of Cities and Regions and Forum on Social Innovation. He was born in Itlay.

Before joining the OECD some 21 years ago, he held posts at the European Commission in Brussels and the Italian Parliament in Rome. He has also worked for the Italian Trade Unions (CISC). He is a visiting professor in International Economics, Entrepreneurship and Innovation at various universities in Italy, GB or the USA. He is the author of several reports, essays, articles and editor of collective books on economics, for the OECD and other publishers.

He holds a First Class Honours Degree in Political Science from the University of Rome and specialised in Industrial Economics at the International University Institute of Luxembourg and in International Economic Relations at the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C., USA. He speaks French, Spanish, English, German and Italian.

José María Fuster

José María Fuster is Executive Vice President of Operations and Technology, and Chief Information Officer of Banco Santander, S.A. and Non-Executive Director of Banco Español de Credito, S.A..

He joined Banco Español de Credito, S.A., in 1998 and was appointed as Chief Information Officer of Banco Santander, S.A. in 2003. He started his professional career with International Business Machines, S.A. and Arthur Andersen as a consultant. He has also worked for Citibank España, S.A. and National Westminster Bank plc.

Professor Dr. Dana T. Redford
President of the Portugal Entrepreneurship Education Platform (PEEP) and co-editor of 'The Entrepreneurial University Handbook'

Professor Dana T. Redford is a recognized international expert on entrepreneurship and public policy. He has worked with the US Department of Commerce, European Commission, OECD and the United Nations. Prof. Redford is President of the Platform for Entrepreneurship Education in Portugal (PEEP) which focuses on: 1) Public policy development; 2) Assessment and research; and 3) Capacity building and experimentation. Beyond his NGO work he teaches at UC Berkeley, Universidade Nova de Lisboa and Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Porto. In 2014, he published his latest book "Handbook on the Entrepreneurial University" (Edward Elgar Publishing).

Juliet Edwards
Policy Officer - Higher Education & Innovation at the European Commission

With a Humanities background specialising in expressions of national identity through cultural heritage, Juliet Edwards has experience of the academic, cultural and European policy sectors. Before joining the European Commission in 2011, she spent several years working in London for an international SME specialised in image licensing and sales. She spear-headed the redevelopment of the company's education service, and brokered new markets in image licensing (Middle-East and Scandinavia).

With a strong commitment to the need for greater cooperation between the education sector and business, she works in DG EAC's unit specialised in developing closer synergies between these two sectors as part of the EU's innovation and growth objectives for 2020. She was closely involved in developing DG EAC's pilot Knowledge Alliances project supporting structured partnerships for innovation in education and industry. She was part of the Commission team that oversaw the development of the highly successful guiding framework for entrepreneurial HEI's; HEInnovate and continues to work on the dissemination and up-scaling of the tool as well as the policies that will help drive innovation in European higher education.
